NATIONAL FRANCHISEE OF THE YEAR AWARD

ATLANTA, GA, JULY 26, 2004 - Maid Brigade of Charlotte, North Carolina received the highest honor bestowed by Maid Brigade Systems, Inc. on one of its 363 locally owned and operated business units: 2004 Franchisee of the Year. Owner Marc Titlebaum was presented with the award at the company's annual convention in Boston, Massachusetts on July 10.

 The Franchisee of the Year is selected above all others for generating exceptional sales growth while operating in a manner consistent with the company's emphasis on customer satisfaction derived through consistency of service delivery. "Beyond the obvious and objective measures," said Don Hay, President of Maid Brigade, "we also look for someone who actively assists other independent owners and who contributes to the organization overall through the generation and support of new ideas. Marc is an active participant on our Advisory Council, and he is a valued member of the Southeast Regional Support Team, helping fellow franchisees launch and manage their businesses. Somewhere he also found the time to operate his own very effectively, achieving a 19% growth in sales in 2003 over the prior year."

Marc Titlebaum became a Maid Brigade franchisee in 1998 after a prior career in retailing, believing that his skills in customer service and employee relations would be very beneficial. "I feel that when people spend X dollars to get their house cleaned, they deserve good value," explained Titlebaum. "They deserve well trained employees who take their jobs seriously. They deserve the best available in environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and equipment. And they deserve a friendly voice on the other end of the telephone when they call the office.

Accepting the award, Titlebaum expressed surprise and gratitude. "This is one of those things that you hope you'll get at some point, but I didn't think this was my year. I'm thrilled! It's really nice to be acknowledged and to be recognized for your efforts."
